COFFIN

Alita Pirkopf

An art show
in a wealthy town.
A small
grown-up doll
housed in pink
plush rooms
in a showcased
dollhouse
home.

Velvet linings
enclosed her,
an empty box
with pink
soft smothering,
like flesh,
like jellyfish,
like seacell
padding.

A scream
sinks sofaed
into sleep…
